Greetings Title X Grantee Agencies,

Welcome to the July RTC monthly Listserv. Let us start out by saying thanks to all of you for the positive feedback on the HIV 101 online trainings that were launched on famplan.org last month. We are really excited about making these new tools available for our Title X grantees. We would also like to thank all of you for hosting the RTC team during site visits over the past couple of months. The information we have been gathering from meeting with you and your staff has been instrumental in planning an exciting 2006-2007 training calendar. Be on the lookout for the calendar in September.

On another note, we have confirmed the date for the Clinical Update! Mark your calendars for Friday, October 27, 2006. The Clinical Update will be held at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough, MA. More details to follow. Please see the attached save the date!

As always, we have also included the month of July's article highlights which can be found below. You can simply open the attachments that pertain to each topic to read more about a particular issue. Also, please remember to check out the announcements, meetings and other calendar reminders at the end of this e-mail.

We know that you are all very busy providing much needed services to your clients and staff. This is why we hope the Listserv will serve as a resource to keep you up-to-date on the latest public health information.

The Listserv e-mail will arrive in your in box on the last Tuesday of every month.

Thank you for your wonderful support of the RTC. It is such a pleasure to work with you all.

Warm Regards,

The JSI RTC Team

HIV 101 Course Now Available Online!

To help meet the need for training that does not require travel and can be accessed at the participant’s convenience, the Region I Title X Family Planning Training Center is providing a new service. We will search the Internet for online courses on topics of interest to Region I Title X staff, review them and post the links to courses that meet our criteria. The first online courses (two of them) we have chosen to post cover the topic “HIV 101”.

To access these links, go the www.famplan.org and click on “Online Courses” under the “Resources” heading.

To comment on this new resource or to make suggestions for types (topics) of online courses you’d like to have posted, please contact Amy Behrens at abehrens@jsi.com.
