Family Planning Basics: The Essentials

Course Content: The course provides an overview of the Title X program (Federal family planning funding), including confidentiality, informed consent and voluntary participation; reproductive anatomy, physiology and the menstrual cycle; contraceptive choices; and sexuality.

Target Audience: Community health workers, medical assistants, nurses, counselors or any staff interested in learning basic family planning information. It is geared for staff who are new to family planning or would like a refresher.

Course length 90 minutes

CEUs: 1.8 contact hours offered.
